Beehive Works, Industrial heritage building in Devonshire Quarter, Sheffield, England
The Beehive Works spans eighteen bays along Milton Street with three stories of red brick construction, featuring ashlars dressing and twelve-pane sash windows.
Built in the late 1850s as Milton Works, the structure expanded during the 1880s and 1890s with additional grinding wheels, forges, and enhanced steam power facilities.
The building represents Sheffield's metal manufacturing legacy, with the Atkinson Brothers using it to produce steel, cutlery, files, and electro plate products.
Modern office suites ranging from 510 to 3,000 square feet occupy the building, equipped with kitchenettes and featuring exposed brick walls.
The internal courtyards contain separate access steps to first-floor workshops, designed specifically for multiple independent craftsmen known as little mesters.
