Debenham House, Art Nouveau residence in Holland Park, London, England
Debenham House features Royal Doulton Carrara walls with green and blue Burmantofts bricks, creating a distinctive exterior pattern at 8 Addison Road.
Between 1905 and 1907, architect Halsey Ricardo built this Grade I listed house for Ernest Ridley Debenham, owner of a department store chain.
The interior contains William De Morgan tiles, Edward Schroeder Prior stained glass, and a mosaic dome painted by Gaetano Meo depicting family and mythology.
The house maintains its original Arts and Crafts features, including marble fireplaces, mahogany bookcases, and specialized light switches from Birmingham Guild of Handicraft.
A domed gallery hall connects the upper rooms, displaying intricate mosaics that combine portraits of Debenham family members with classical mythological figures.
