Drumpellier country park, Country park in Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire, Scotland
The 500-acre parkland contains two natural lochs, mixed woodlands, grasslands, and moorland areas, creating multiple environments for local wildlife.
The land became accessible to the public in 1919 and received its designation as a country park in 1984, following its previous status as a private estate.
The park maintains several walking paths, recreational areas, and a visitor center that connect local residents with nature throughout all seasons.
Visitors can access the park through Townhead Road in Coatbridge, with the visitor center operating daily from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
The geographical features include kettle ponds formed during the last ice age, with archaeological evidence of ancient settlements near the loch shores.
