Glasgow Women's Library, Independent museum and specialized archive in Glasgow City, United Kingdom.

The library contains an extensive collection of materials documenting women's experiences, including books, photographs, personal papers, journals, and historical artifacts.

Founded in 1991, the institution began as a grassroots organization and developed into Scotland's primary repository for materials about women's history and achievements.

The collection includes the Lesbian Archive and Information Centre, which moved from London to Glasgow in 1995, containing UK lesbian history materials from the 1920s.

Researchers need appointments to access archival materials, and the library operates Monday through Saturday with extended hours on Thursdays until 7:30 PM.

The institution preserves rare suffrage materials, including card games, jewelry, postcards, and publications from the International Women's Suffrage Alliance.

Photography in Glasgow: cathedral, museums and Victorian architecture

Glasgow combines medieval structures with Victorian architecture and modern cultural buildings. The city offers photographers a mix of Gothic churches, sandstone buildings, and green spaces along the River Clyde. The route includes the 12th-century cathedral and the adjacent Necropolis with its monuments on a hillside. Kelvingrove Museum displays Spanish Baroque architecture, while the University of Glasgow presents Gothic towers and courtyards. The Botanic Gardens house Victorian glasshouses with iron and glass structures. The Riverside Museum documents the city's industrial history, and modern venues like the SSE Hydro and Clyde Auditorium complete the route. The collection covers religious, academic, and industrial architecture, along with parks and cemeteries.
