Grangewood Park, Ancient woodland in South Norwood, United Kingdom.

Grangewood Park encompasses 27 acres of protected woodland with numerous pathways, tennis courts, children's playgrounds, and sports facilities throughout its grounds.

The park started as part of the Manor of Whitehorse, acquired by John Cator in 1787, before the Corporation of Croydon purchased it for public use in 1900.

Local residents participate in seasonal activities at the park, including spring daffodil viewing, summer sports tournaments, and community gatherings at the pavilion.

The park connects to multiple access points via Grange Road, Wharncliffe Road, and Ross Road, with nearby stations at Thornton Heath and Norwood Junction.

Within its boundaries stands a Victorian-era bowling green that continues to function, surrounded by original oak trees from the Great North Wood.
