Lenzie Moss

Lenzie Moss is a nature reserve in East Dunbartonshire featuring extensive lowland raised bogs combined with deciduous woodland dominated by silver birch and marshy ground. A network of maintained walking paths runs through the site and stays accessible across all seasons and weather conditions.

The site was once used for peat extraction, with a narrow gauge railway running across it to move the harvested material. The landscape still shows the marks of this past activity through distinctive patterns left in the remaining peat.
