Adamslie Park is a football stadium in Kirkintilloch with a standing area for around 5,500 spectators and basic amenities for players and visitors. The ground has simple facilities and was used regularly for match days over many decades.
The ground was inaugurated on August 7, 1926 by Provost John Shanks with a ceremonial match against Petershill. It remained active for football competitions for more than 80 years until competitive matches ended in 2014.
The ground served as a gathering place for the community across generations, hosting different sporting events alongside football. Residents came here regularly to watch and participate in traditional Scottish sporting activities that brought people together.
The ground is accessible by First bus services that stop directly outside, or by a 40-minute walk from Lenzie railway station. Visitors should note that the site is no longer actively used for regular matches.
The final competitive men's match took place on April 23, 2014 when Rob Roy defeated Renfrew 3-2. This closing match marked the end of a long era of football competitions at this location.
