Our Greatest Team Parade

This parade was a spectacle featuring around 830 athletes on 21 floats organized by sport, traveling from Mansion House through central London to Buckingham Palace. The route passed major landmarks like St. Paul's Cathedral and Trafalgar Square, where tens of thousands of spectators gathered.

This parade took place on 10 September 2012 and honored British athletes who competed in the 2012 Summer Olympics and Paralympics. The event followed immediately after the closing ceremony and marked the conclusion of a major international sporting event held in the country.

A student musical group called Kinetika Bloco from South London led the parade procession and brought local youth engagement to life. The streets filled with spectators who celebrated the visible presence of young performers shaping the event with their acts.

Spectators could choose from several viewing areas along the route, including spots at Mansion House, St. Paul's Cathedral, and Trafalgar Square. People with disabilities had access to specially reserved zones so they could watch comfortably.

The parade moved slowly through London streets, allowing cameras and spectators to capture every moment. The event was broadcast live on BBC One, Channel 4, and Sky, reaching millions of households across the country.
