St Leonards-on-Sea United Reformed Church, Gothic Revival church in St Leonards-on-Sea, England.
St Leonards-on-Sea United Reformed Church stands with its pale sandstone walls, tower, spire, and detailed cross-gables along one of the main roads.
Matthew Edward Habershon designed this Grade II listed religious building, which opened its doors to worshippers in 1864 during the Victorian period.
The church represents Protestant Nonconformity in Sussex through its architectural grandeur, marking a departure from conventional simple chapel designs of that time.
The lower church hall now functions as an indoor Saturday Market for vintage items, while the upper Great Hall prepares for wedding ceremonies.
The church survived the Great Storm of 1987, which removed its copper spire, leading to years of deterioration before its transformation into a community space.
