St Mary's Church, Handbridge, Gothic Revival church in Handbridge, England
The church displays Waverton stone walls with Runcorn sandstone details, featuring a three-stage tower topped by a spire with lucarnes and a weathervane.
The structure, designed by architect F. B. Wade for the 1st Duke of Westminster, was constructed between 1885 and 1887 with a porch added in 1914.
Eight bells cast by Mears and Stainbank in 1887 ring from the tower, while stained glass by Edward Frampton depicts Christ's baptism in the baptistry.
The church welcomes visitors for private prayer from Tuesday to Thursday, with Holy Communion services held every Thursday at 10 a.m., both in-person and via YouTube.
The reredos, created in cloisonné technique by Clement Heaton following Frederic Shields' design, stands as a focal point within the church interior.
