Taylor's Eye Witness Works, Industrial heritage building in Sheffield, England
The red brick structure on Milton Street features three internal courtyards and a facade stretching across thirty window bays for optimal natural lighting.
Founded by John Taylor in 1820, the company obtained the Eye Witness trademark in 1838, inspired by a line from Shakespeare's Henry IV.
The building represents Sheffield's industrial evolution from a manual cutlery manufacturing center to a modernized production facility through multiple generations.
The Grade II listed building now contains residential apartments and includes a commercial space designated for an independent café-bar establishment.
The factory employed innovative steam-powered machinery and manufactured over two thousand different designs of knives, scissors, and razors during its peak production.
