Wills Hall, University residence in Stoke Bishop, Bristol, United Kingdom
Wills Hall is a residential college for university students organized around two courtyards with several accommodation blocks. It provides roughly 370 rooms of different sizes plus shared common areas for studying, dining, and socializing.
The residence was built in 1929 by George Alfred Wills as a memorial to his brother Henry Herbert. Winston Churchill attended its official opening ceremony.
The Monica Wills Chapel serves as a space for student gatherings and artistic performances. Music concerts and theater productions happen regularly here, shaping how residents experience their time at the hall.
The residence sits about 3 km from the main campus and provides furnished rooms with meals included. Student residents receive bus passes for regular travel to university buildings and facilities.
The dining hall displays Latin inscriptions on its exterior walls, marking it as a meaningful location. Renowned architect Sir George Oatley designed this space as part of a larger residential complex for students.
