All Saints Church, Speke, Grade II listed church in Speke, England
All Saints Church in Speke is an Anglican church built from red stone with Gothic features. The building contains a main nave, side aisles, a transept, a chancel, and a tower positioned at the southwest corner.
The church was designed by architect John Loughborough Pearson and built between 1872 and 1875. It was consecrated on June 21, 1876, and has been protected as a listed building.
The stained glass windows were made by Clayton and Bell, a well-known studio that created beautiful colored glass for many Victorian churches. These windows are part of what makes the interior feel special when light shines through them.
The church is open to visitors, especially during services and community events. It is a good idea to check opening times in advance since these can vary depending on activities scheduled at the site.
The tower holds three bells cast in 1874 by John Taylor & Co, a famous bell foundry. Although these historic bells remain in place, they no longer ring.
