St Mary's Church, Woolton, Gothic Revival church in Woolton, England

St Mary's Church is a Gothic Revival building constructed from red sandstone with slate roofing in the Woolton area of Liverpool. Its interior layout includes a five-bay nave, substantial transepts, and a chancel with adjoining side chapels.

The building opened in 1860 under the name Saint Benet's and was renamed to its present title in 1881. This change reflected an important development in the church's history.

The church serves as a gathering place where the local community comes together for worship and shared activities throughout the week. Music sessions and spiritual gatherings reflect how people use this building as part of their daily lives.

The church is located on Church Road in Woolton and is straightforward to reach. Visitors can enter freely to view the interior or attend regular services held throughout the year.

The main stained glass window illustrates the Last Supper and was designed by Belgian artist Jean-Baptiste Capronnier. The work also features representations of Saint Benedict and members of the Jump family.
