Embassy Theatre

The Embassy Theatre is an Art Deco building at the intersection of Broadway and Cattle Market Road in Peterborough. The striking structure features distinctive 1930s architecture with locally produced red bricks that give it a recognizable appearance.

The building was designed by architect David Evelyn Nye in 1937 and originally functioned as a theatre space. It was later converted into a cinema in 1953 and subsequently served other entertainment purposes.

The venue was an important gathering place for music fans in the 1960s, drawing notable performers who played here regularly. The building remains part of the city's cultural memory as a space where people came together to experience live entertainment.
