Rome

Rome is a city in Oneida County, New York, that extends across an area with varying elevations up to 139 meters (456 feet) above sea level. Residential neighborhoods and business districts shape the cityscape in the different parts of the town.

The official city incorporation took place in 1870, after the place had developed from an agricultural settlement. In the late 19th century, the character changed fundamentally through emerging industry.
