Charles S. Keith House, Georgian Revival residence in Kansas City, United States

The Charles S. Keith House stands at 1214 West 55th Street, featuring twenty-two rooms, six bathrooms, elaborate stone trim work, and multiple pergolas.

The residence, constructed in 1914 by lumber baron Charles S. Keith, was later sold to real estate developer J.C. Nichols in 1920.

The architectural firm Shepard, Farrar & Wiser designed this residence while Hare and Hare created the formal gardens with lily pools.

The property occupies three acres near Ward Parkway in the Country Club District, making it accessible for architectural history enthusiasts.

The former owner, Charles Keith, served as interim mayor of Kansas City in 1940 between the administrations of Bryce B. Smith and John B. Gage.
