Fitton Field, Athletic stadium in Worcester, United States
Fitton Field contains a three-sided horseshoe structure with aluminum bleachers and accommodates 23,500 spectators on the College of the Holy Cross campus.
The stadium opened in 1908 with wooden structures, which were replaced by steel framework in 1924 and underwent aluminum seating upgrades in 1986.
President Theodore Roosevelt delivered his only public speech in Worcester at Fitton Field during his 1905 Massachusetts tour.
The stadium features Kentucky bluegrass playing surface, modern irrigation systems, and specialized netting installed during the 2016 renovation project.
The northern stands of Fitton Field measure shorter than the southern section due to the proximity of Interstate 290 highway.
