Fort Mott State Park, Historical fortification in Pennsville, New Jersey.

The defensive complex contains concrete gun batteries, underground tunnels, and a restored fire control tower along the Delaware River bank.

The United States Army built Fort Mott in the 1890s as part of a three-fort coastal defense system to protect Philadelphia from naval attacks.

The fort museum exhibits military artifacts, weapons, and photographs documenting the life of soldiers stationed at this Delaware River defense post.

Visitors can access the park grounds daily from 8:00 AM, with closing times varying by season between 4:00 PM in winter and 7:30 PM in summer.

The fort features disappearing gun carriages that could be lowered behind concrete walls after firing, protecting soldiers from enemy counterattacks.
