Fraze Pavilion, Open-air amphitheater in Kettering, Ohio, US
The Fraze Pavilion is an open-air theatre with combined concrete and grass areas that accommodates around 4,300 people for outdoor performances. The stage is surrounded by seating sections offering different viewing angles of the action.
The amphitheater was established in 1991 and named after Ermal Fraze, a Kettering native who invented the pop-top beverage can. Composer Marvin Hamlisch performed at the opening event.
The adjacent Lincoln Park Civic Commons hosts regular festivals like Blues Fest and Art on the Commons that shape community life in the city.
The venue has strict security guidelines and allows only small bags up to a certain size. Backpacks, containers, and recording devices are not permitted.
Singer Sheryl Crow recorded two consecutive sold-out performances here in 2003 that were later released as a DVD. These recordings remain among the most notable live productions documented at this location.
