Carillon Historical Park, Children's museum in Dayton, US
The 65-acre open-air museum complex contains over 3 million artifacts showcasing the technological and industrial achievements of the Dayton region through interactive exhibits.
Colonel Edward Deeds and Edith Walton Deeds established the park in 1950 after drawing inspiration from carillon music they encountered during their travels in Belgium.
The park features daily outdoor carillon music performances, historical reenactments, and exhibits highlighting Dayton's contributions to aviation, innovation, and manufacturing industries.
Visitors can explore the museum complex Monday through Saturday from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM and Sundays from noon to 5:00 PM throughout the year.
The site includes the 1905 Wright Flyer III, the first functional airplane, and an authentic 1850s production brewery that demonstrates historical brewing methods.
