Fremont Speedway, tor wyścigowy (Stany Zjednoczone)
Fremont Speedway is a dirt oval racing track located at the Sandusky County Fairgrounds in Fremont, Ohio, roughly a third of a mile (about 530 meters) around with semi-banked turns. The track hosts several vehicle classes, including sprint cars and dirt trucks, mainly on Saturday nights throughout the racing season.
The first race at a nearby fairground took place in 1936 and drew around 7,000 spectators. Joe and Dot Stelter built the current oval in 1951, and the track has grown steadily since then, adding new vehicle classes and improving safety over the decades.
The nickname 'Track That Action Built' shows how deeply this oval is rooted in local racing culture. On most Saturday nights, fans and drivers come together to share their love of dirt racing and feel the excitement of competition up close.
Races take place on most Saturday nights during the season, and tickets can be bought in advance or at the gate on the day. The track sits within the Sandusky County Fairgrounds, so parking and finding your way around the site is generally straightforward.
The track earned the nickname 'Home of the All Stars' by hosting more than 100 races of the All Star Circuit of Champions. A soft-wall system lines the circuit, which protects drivers at speed and also helps keep entry costs lower for newer competitors.
