Green Building, Brutalist building at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, United States.

The Green Building stands 277 feet tall with 18 floors of reinforced concrete, featuring recessed panels and windowless expanses on its facade.

Architect I. M. Pei completed this academic structure in 1964 as part of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology campus development plan.

The Department of Earth, Atmospheric, and Planetary Sciences conducts research across different floors, with planetary sciences below and atmospheric studies above.

The building contains research laboratories, classrooms, and meteorological instruments on its rooftop for weather radar and atmospheric measurements.

Students participate in the annual Pumpkin Drop event from the roof and compete in the Green Building Challenge to climb its stairs multiple times.
