Granite Gorge Ski Area, Ski resort in Roxbury, New Hampshire, US
Granite Gorge Ski Area is a winter sports facility spanning 50 acres with 19 trails of varying difficulty across Pinnacle Mountain. The terrain accommodates beginners through advanced skiers, served by two lifts and a magic carpet for those just starting out.
The site succeeded the closure of Pinnacle Peak Ski Area in 1977 and reopened in 2003 to continue the skiing tradition in New Hampshire's Monadnock region. This revival of the ski area helped restore the winter sports culture that had faded from the locality.
The Winter Youth Ski Program introduces children and young adults to skiing and snowboarding through structured lessons and supervised practice sessions.
The resort uses snowmaking and night lighting to maintain consistent conditions throughout the season. Equipment rental should be confirmed in advance, and visitors should plan around the slopes that match their skill level.
The terrain park features an unusual landmark: an integrated VW bus that serves as a creative element for freestyle training. There is also a specialized Bag Jump facility where riders can practice tricks in a forgiving landing environment.
