Greenville Wildlife Park

Greenville Zoo is a facility in Cleveland Park that spans around 14 acres and houses more than 200 animals representing different continents and ecosystems. The grounds showcase a range of animal species and their natural environments.

The zoo was founded in 1960 and initially featured native animal species from the region. An important expansion occurred in 1962 when a new facility for exotic primates was opened.

The zoo functions as a gathering place where locals and visitors encounter animals from around the world and learn about their habitats in a hands-on way. School groups regularly visit to develop knowledge about wildlife and conservation efforts.

One of the Red Pandas at the zoo is named Willie, after the musician Willie Nelson. This naming choice connects the animal world with the region's rich musical heritage.
