Hopatcong State Park, Public recreational area at Lake Hopatcong, New Jersey, United States.

The 163-acre state park features Lake Hopatcong, the largest freshwater body in New Jersey, spanning nine miles with 2,500 acres of water surface.

The lake originated as a component of the Morris Canal system in 1837, facilitating the transportation of coal, iron, and zinc across New Jersey.

The Lake Hopatcong Historical Museum, housed in an 1825 lock tender's house, exhibits local Native American artifacts and Morris Canal operational records.

The park provides designated swimming areas with lifeguards from Memorial Day through Labor Day, plus facilities for boating, fishing, and outdoor sports.

The park displays an original Scotch Turbine from the Morris Canal's Inclined Plane 3 East, relocated during the canal's decommissioning in 1926.
