Joe Wolfe Field, Baseball field in North Adams, Massachusetts, United States
Joe Wolfe Field is a baseball diamond in North Adams with a grandstand holding roughly 1,800 spectators across wooden and aluminum seating sections. The field includes viewing areas along the foul lines and eight light poles that enable games to be played after sunset.
This field opened in 1986 as a replacement for an earlier baseball ground in the community. It was named for Joe Wolfe, a local semipro player and sports promoter from North Adams.
The SteepleCats have called this field home since the early 2000s, bringing collegiate baseball to the community and drawing families on game nights. Fans gather here to watch young players compete in the regional summer league.
Restroom facilities are located underneath the grandstands, and concessions are available along the left field side. Evening games are well lit thanks to the overhead poles, making it comfortable to watch after dark.
On a single July 4th evening in 2006, the field drew its largest crowd ever, with thousands of fans filling the stands for a holiday game. This remains the attendance record at the venue.
