This former residence of poet E.E. Cummings, purchased by his parents in 1899, earned National Historic Landmark status in 1971 for its literary significance.
The property features an octagonal tower and multiple architectural modifications, including a deck accessible from three gable dormers on the main block.
The farmhouse contains five bays on the first level, with paired sash windows surrounding a central entry protected by a porch with sidelight windows.
E.E. Cummings wrote his final manuscript, Adventures in Value, at this location before experiencing a cerebral hemorrhage that led to his death in 1962.
