Kings Pond Park

Kings Pond Park is a natural park in a forested area along Goffle Brook with two connected ponds. The water bodies sit among dense trees with walking paths that allow visitors to explore both ponds and the surrounding woodland.

The park established itself as an important part of Bergen County's green spaces, connecting the areas of Midland Park and Hawthorne. It grew into a key recreational destination for residents in the region over time.

The park brings neighbors together for outdoor activities throughout the year in a shared green space. You will see people walking, fishing, or simply spending time by the water and among the trees.

You can enter the park from multiple points along Lakeview Drive, McKinley Place, and Rock Road, with parking available near the main entrance. The different access points make it easy to start your visit from wherever is most convenient for you.

The park is home to roughly 40 different bird species that visitors can spot while walking the trails. The ground cover includes ferns and pink azaleas that thrive especially along an old railroad bed running through the area.
