Lake of the Ozarks State Park

Lake of the Ozarks State Park extends across 17,441 acres of woodland terrain, offering water activities and hiking paths along the Missouri reservoir shoreline.

The establishment of this state park in 1946 followed the creation of Lake of the Ozarks reservoir, built for hydroelectric power generation and flood control.

Educational programs throughout the year inform visitors about local wildlife conservation, environmental protection, and natural resource management within the Missouri park system.

Two swimming beaches, multiple boat ramps, camping areas, and rental facilities provide access points for water recreation and overnight stays throughout the park.

The park maintains 12 miles of marked trails through diverse landscapes, connecting visitors to secluded coves, limestone bluffs, and native Missouri wildlife habitats.
