Meyer's Castle, Tudor Revival residence in Dyer, Indiana, US
The castle features 43 rooms, 215 windows, and extends across 16 acres of land with terraced gardens and native Indiana plantings.
Built between 1929 and 1931 by architect Cosbey Bernard Sr, the castle served as the private residence of botanist Joseph Meyer until 1950.
European craftsmen spent two years creating intricate wood carvings throughout the interior, including detailed oak paneling in the foyer and living spaces.
The property includes a grand entrance hall with north and south access points, multiple dining areas, and an elevator connecting three floors.
The estate sits at the highest point of Lake County, where artifacts from Sauk and Potowami tribes were discovered near the building site.
