Pike Lake State Park extends across 587 acres of wooded hills in southern Ohio, featuring a 13-acre lake surrounded by dense forests.
The Civilian Conservation Corps developed the site during the 1930s before its official designation as a state park in 1949.
Native American earthworks from 800 BC remain near the park, marking the presence of early settlements in the Scioto River Valley.
The park maintains 79 electrical campsites with picnic tables, fire rings, shower facilities, and a seasonal camp store for visitors.
The park sits in the unglaciated section of the Appalachian plateau, creating an environment where wild turkeys and white-tailed deer thrive.
