Robert Henry Treman acquired the land around Enfield Falls in 1915 and donated it to New York State five years later. The historic mill and miller house from that era were registered nationally in 1979.
The Enfield Falls Mill and Miller House, registered as National Historic Places in 1979, represent early industrial development in the region.

The swimming pool beneath Lower Falls features a diving board and is fed directly by the stream. The surrounding area consists of layered rock formations shaped over thousands of years.
