School 13 stands as a three-story structure with steel frame construction, featuring brick and terra cotta elements in the Beaux-Arts architectural style at Oak Street.
The building operated continuously from its construction in 1915 until 2003, serving the Buffalo community as Boys Vocational High School and Buffalo Alternative High School.
The T-shaped building incorporated multiple educational spaces, including administrative offices, classrooms, a gymnasium, swimming pool, and a two-story auditorium for student activities.
Located at 266-268 Oak Street in Buffalo, New York, the building received recognition on the National Register of Historic Places in March 2005.
Architect George J. Metzger designed this compact educational facility on less than one acre of land, maximizing space utilization in an urban setting.
