Sky Landscape, Modern sculpture at Constitution Avenue and 13th Street, Washington D.C., United States.

Sky Landscape is an aluminum sculpture located at Constitution Avenue in Washington D.C. that features geometric forms arranged vertically. The structure consists of angular planes and interlocking sections that create a bold vertical composition.

Louise Nevelson created this aluminum installation in 1988 as part of her shift from wooden assemblages to working with metal. This piece represents a turning point in the artist's career toward new materials and approaches.

This work demonstrates how artists in the 1980s used industrial materials to transform public spaces in cities. You can see how metal sculptures became part of the urban landscape during this period of artistic change.

The sculpture sits outdoors near a busy street and is easily accessible during daylight hours. The aluminum surface reflects light differently throughout the day, offering changing views depending on when you visit.

This was one of the first large-scale aluminum sculptures installed in a public space in the nation's capital. The installation demonstrated how artists were willing to use materials commonly found in industrial settings for fine art.
