The outdoor water park contained a 20,000-square-foot wave pool, two 25-foot tube water slides, and a 4,000-square-foot children's play area.
Following its establishment as a community recreation facility, Splash Moraine operated until 2009 when budget constraints led to its permanent closure.
The facility hosted regular community events throughout its operating seasons, including the Soggy Doggy Day where pets and owners shared pool activities.
The water park provided visitors with complimentary tubes for the 700-foot lazy river, plus additional recreational facilities including volleyball and basketball courts.
After permanent closure, the abandoned water park structures remain in place, prompting discussions about potential redevelopment of the property.
