St. Theresa's Catholic Church

St. Theresa's Catholic Church is a brick structure with two distinct square towers that define its silhouette against the Hutchinson skyline. The eastern tower stands taller than its partner, creating an asymmetrical composition typical of Romanesque Revival design.

Construction began in 1910 following a fundraising campaign led by local Catholics who envisioned a permanent home for their parish. The dedication in May 1911 marked the completion of this ambitious project for the community.

The marble altar brings together materials from Italy, Mexico, and Vermont, reflecting how the Catholic community connected to the wider world. These imported pieces show how faith communities valued craftsmanship from many places.
