Tremont Plaza Hotel & Grand Historic Venue is a seven-story building in downtown Baltimore combining Renaissance-inspired architecture with modern amenities. The structure contains 45,000 square feet of event space distributed across 19 different rooms for corporate meetings, social gatherings, and wedding ceremonies.
History
The building was built in 1866 as the Grand Lodge of Maryland Masonic Temple and served as Freemason headquarters for over 130 years. Major fires in 1890 and 1900 prompted extensive renovations that added a sixth floor in Beaux Arts style and enhanced the entrance facade.
Culture
The venue features ornate rooms with marble staircases and stained glass windows inspired by Scottish design. These decorative elements shape the interior experience and create an elegant setting for different occasions.
