The Wilford H. Fawcett House sits on a point overlooking Big Pelican Lake, featuring a Y-shaped layout and Norwegian pine log construction throughout its structure.
Built by Captain Billy Fawcett, founder of Fawcett Publications, the house emerged in the 1920s as part of the development of Breezy Point Resort area.
Minneapolis architects Magney and Tusler designed the house in Swiss Chateau style, incorporating a circular staircase and reading balcony in the main hall.
The property maintains capacity for 30 guests, with modernized interior amenities while preserving the original architectural elements and structural features.
The residence features peeled Norway pine logs finished with brown stain on the exterior and varnish on the interior, plus wrought iron fixtures throughout.
