Paul Bunyan Land

Paul Bunyan Land is an amusement park featuring rides, a pioneer-style village, and a petting zoo with farm animals. The grounds include multiple themed areas where visitors can explore different attractions suitable for families.

The park opened in 1954 and originally operated at a different location in central Brainerd. A relocation in 2003 moved it to its current site, merging it with a historic pioneer settlement.

The centerpiece is a massive animated Paul Bunyan statue that greets visitors by name, making it a memorable landmark. This figure has become a symbol of the park and local folklore.

The park operates seasonally from Memorial Day through Labor Day and offers camping facilities on the grounds. Good walking shoes are recommended since the property requires considerable walking to explore all areas.

The park grounds house an extensive antiques collection spread across historic buildings from different periods. This collection offers insights into past daily life and transforms the location into something beyond a typical amusement park.
