William Brinton 1704 House, Early Colonial house in West Chester, Pennsylvania, US.

The William Brinton 1704 House features stone walls measuring 22 inches thick, two stories high, with brick chimneys on each end wall and twenty-seven leaded sash windows.

The house, built in 1704 by William Brinton Jr, stood within the Battle of Brandywine battlefield area during the American Revolutionary War in September 1777.

The Brinton descendants repurchased their ancestral home in 1947 and restored it to its original form, removing later additions and Gothic architectural elements.

The house museum opens to visitors on weekends from May through October at 21 Oakland Road, with additional visits available through advance appointments.

The structure contains its original flooring and houses authentic furniture from the 17th and 18th centuries, including a family Bible box and a beehive oven.
