Hart House, Historic house in Taylor's Bridge, Delaware.
The Hart House features three bays, brick construction, and a low-pitched gable roof spanning two and a half stories in height.
In July 1747, the Hart House became a site of conflict during the War of Jenkins' Ear when Spanish marauders initiated a gun battle.
The residence represents colonial architectural methods and materials, demonstrating construction techniques from the mid-eighteenth century in Delaware.
Delaware Wild Lands maintains the property, and visitors can obtain information about the site through the Delaware state preservation office.
The structure stands one room deep and occupies a one-acre lot, maintaining its original spatial configuration from 1747.
