Built in 1900 for Lutheran German immigrants, Immanuel Hall was transformed from a church into the Hinsdale Historical Society headquarters after its 1999 preservation.
The building served as a center for German-speaking Lutheran services until the 1930s when it transitioned to English under the Evangelical and Reformed Church.
Located two blocks from Downtown Hinsdale Historic District, the hall maintains regular opening hours for visitors interested in local history research.
The entire construction of this Gothic Revival church took only eight weeks to complete in 1900, with a total cost of 3,000 dollars.
