Crotched Mountain Ski & Ride, Ski resort in Francestown, New Hampshire.
Crotched Mountain Ski & Ride is a ski resort with 75 acres of terrain spread across 23 trails of varying difficulty. Five different lifts serve the slopes, including a high-speed quad and a beginner-friendly magic carpet.
The resort was first established in 1964 on the northeast face of the mountain. It merged with a neighboring area in 1980, closed temporarily in 1989, and reopened in 2003 under new management.
The resort maintains five different terrain parks where skiers and snowboarders practice their techniques on specialized equipment and designated training areas.
The resort suits both beginners and experienced skiers, so trails can be busy during peak season. Check conditions before you visit, as weather can affect which slopes are open.
The resort operates special night skiing events where skiers can ride the slopes until midnight. This late-evening access is rare for East Coast resorts.
