Benjamin Pierce, a Revolutionary War veteran and New Hampshire governor, constructed this residence in 1804 for his family, including future president Franklin Pierce.
The interior rooms maintain original decorative stenciling from the nineteenth century, representing the architectural preferences of New England's upper class during that period.
The museum opens from May through October, with guided tours starting every hour until 3 PM, offering visitors detailed insights into presidential history.
The property includes 13 acres of land and contains a converted barn that now serves as a welcome center with historical displays and artifacts.
