Mabee House is a historic dwelling in Schenectady County with stone construction from 1705 and brick construction from 1760, standing alongside several outbuildings on a property of about 10 acres. The land originally came from Mohawk tribes and was acquired in 1671, then purchased by Jan Pieterse Mabee in 1705 when he built the stone house. This structure became the oldest standing building in the Mohawk Valley and shaped the early colonial building history of the region.
The burial ground on the property holds headstones reaching back to the 1700s, documenting the family story across generations. A memorial marks the enslaved people who lived and worked at this site.
