Nott Memorial, Historical library building at Union College, Schenectady, United States

The Nott Memorial stands as a 16-sided stone structure with a height of 89 feet, featuring brownstone walls and numerous stained glass windows.

Construction of the Nott Memorial began in 1858 and completed in 1879, designed by Edward Tuckerman Potter to honor Union College president Eliphalet Nott.

The Mandeville Gallery on the second floor presents rotating exhibitions of nationally recognized contemporary artists exploring modern issues through various mediums.

The main floor functions as a meeting space accommodating 400 people, while upper levels provide exhibition areas and informal student gathering spaces.

The structure contains 288 restored colored glass windows that filter natural light through the interior, creating shifting patterns throughout the day.
