Yellowstone Club, Private ski resort in Big Sky, Montana, US
Yellowstone Club is a ski resort in Big Sky, Montana, spreading across roughly 15,200 acres (6,160 hectares) that include ski trails and a golf course. The resort sits in the Rocky Mountains and combines residential areas with lift infrastructure that reaches Pioneer Mountain.
The area emerged in the 1990s following a land exchange with the Forest Service and was later developed into a private residential club. The facility went through bankruptcy proceedings in 2008 and continued under new ownership afterward.
The club maintains membership exclusivity with notable members including technology executives and entertainment figures who seek a private mountain retreat experience.
The area receives roughly 300 inches (7.6 meters) of snow in winter and includes more than 100 runs across different elevations. The lift system connects with the neighboring Big Sky Resort, offering expanded terrain options.
Some residences feature direct lift access, allowing occupants to reach slopes without additional travel from their buildings. The ski terrain spreads across multiple mountain faces and remains open only to members.
