Blue Ridge Farm

Blue Ridge Farm features a Federal era farmhouse from 1791 and a Colonial Revival stone house from 1935, alongside multiple stables and tenant houses.

Henry T. Oxnard established the horse breeding operation in 1903, before Rear Admiral Cary Travers Grayson acquired the property in 1928.

The property encompasses formal gardens around the Blue Ridge Farmhouse, designed by Washington D.C. architect Waddy B. Wood between 1933 and 1934.

The property maintains several dedicated structures for horse breeding, including three broodmare stables from 1903 and two stallion stables built in 1913.

The farm combines two distinct architectural periods with its 1791 Fountain Hill House and 1935 Blue Ridge Farmhouse, both preserved on the same grounds.
