McKeon Park, Baseball venue in Hyannis, United States
McKeon Park features Judy Walden Scarafile Field with metal and wooden seating areas arranged throughout the grounds. The facility accommodates roughly 3,000 spectators during the summer baseball season.
The current facility was built in the late 1970s for the Hyannis Mets of the Cape Cod Baseball League, opening for the 1979 season. The team was later renamed to reflect changes that happened over the following decades.
The field is home to the Hyannis Harbor Hawks, a summer league team where young players develop their skills before pursuing professional careers. Spectators here watch games filled with emerging talent that has produced future Major League players.
Free parking is available at the adjacent St. John Paul High School grounds near the field. A voluntary contribution is suggested if you attend a game to help support the facility.
Since 1992, ospreys have built nests on platforms atop the light poles, an event that inspired the team to adopt the Harbor Hawks name. These birds return each summer to breed at the same nesting sites.
